Buckingham Palace Butler joins Al Faisaliah Hotel

Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, proudly announces the appointment of Paul Robinson as the new Assistant Head Butler. A former British royal family Butler, Paul comes with more than ten years of experience in the industry. He also had the privilege to work with the Saudi and British royal families in London, Paris and Jeddah, occasionally accompanying them on international trips.

Alexander Blair General Manager of Al Faisaliah Hotel said, “Paul Robinson is a highly trained Butler with many years of experience serving our royal family in Saudi Arabia as well as the royal family of the UK. Robinson was hired based on his attention to detail and his ability to deliver excellence, which we pride ourselves on here at Al Faisaliah. We are delighted to have Paul join our team and we invite guests to come and experience his service first hand.”

Al Faisaliah, which remains the favorite hotel amongst Saudi’s elite, was the first to provide the exclusive 24 hour butler service, based on the British Butler, who transformed this profession into a sophisticated art form.

In Victorian Britain, the butler was originally a middle-ranking member of staff of a grand household, a chief steward, responsible for serving food and beverages. Typically male, the butler gradually worked his way up to become senior, in the 17th and 18th centuries. In addition, some households had employed a steward who would be entrusted with the running of external and financial affairs, he was often senior to the butler in social status into the 19th century. To this day, a Butler holds a position of power and respect, making managerial decisions and ensuring the house hold runs smoothly.

Familiar with the history of British Butlers, Paul Robinson, in his new role will be responsible for Al Faisaliah Suites, the hotel’s deluxe suites. He brings his experience from several years spent with the Saudi Royal family, training staff at the Palace in Jeddah. His credentials also include work with some high profile American delegates, VIP’s and government officials.

Al Faisaliah Suites hosts 106 contemporary suites which include the Royal Suite, Presidential Suite, Premier Deluxe Suite, Deluxe Suite, Grand Suite, Premier Suite, Landmark Suite, Oasis Suite, Royal Diamond Suite, and the extravagant Royal Penthouse Suite. Each of these suites are fitted with the finest furnishings and the latest technological systems in communication and entertainment. The eight distinct suites styles offer guests a peaceful sanctuary for some relaxation and private entertaining.
